This week’s #TuneTuesday, “Lord Lovat’s Lament” can be used for pretty well any event as it does double-duty as a tune that can be played slowly or quickly. In the audio recording below, I play the tune once through slowly and then pick up the tempo for the second time through.
Played slowly, “Lord Lovat’s Lament” is a good option for a wedding processional. It was actually one of the tunes Emily and I picked to be played for the bridal party at our wedding. The piper then played “Highland Cathedral” for Emily’s walk down the aisle.
Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
