This week’s #TuneTuesday is inspired by the passing of the Canadian wrestler the “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
Growing up, I remember my Dad making homemade french fries in his makeshift fryer and then settling in to watch the WWF (now the WWE). Of course being a piping enthusiast, I remember this tune, “The Green Hills of Tyrol” being played while “Rowdy” Roddy Piper made his grand entrance into the ring.
While researching for this post, Emily and I came across the fact that Piper (real name Roderick Toombs) had designed and registered his own personal tartan in the Scottish Register of Tartans. The image above is the “Rowdy” Roddy Piper (Personal) Tartan.
Enjoy and stay “tuned” for next week’s #TuneTuesday!
